Miracle in cell No.7

The movie starts with a little girl living with her autistic father and her grandmother in small village in Turkey. She was just a 6 years old girl who just wanted a school bag for herself. Her father Memo was an adult with the mental development of 6 years old .But even he knew that ova wanted that bag. So, when they had enough money to buy the bag , they ran to the store but it was already sold to a daughter of a high ranking officer. Memo argued with the officer and the officer hit him hard. After this incident the daughter of the officer was found dead under a cliff. A soldier who was hiding nearby saw the  incident. At that time Memo was with her. So the police accused him of murder.

The police arrested Memo and took him to the prison. Memo's daughter and mother was waiting for him anxiously. Then they heard the news of Memo being charged with murder. On the other side, Memo was afraid and wanted to be reunited with his family . But he was send to a detention center and was assigned to cell no.7.

On the first day in cell number 7, Memo was beaten up by the fellow cellmates because of his crimes. The warden heard the news and punished the whole ward for it.10 days later, Memo was released from the infirmary. He was assigned under Selim , his cellmate and he borrowed papers from him to write letters to his daughter Ova. He told her that he was fine and missed her ,Also, he had made some new friends and he liked living with them. His best friend was Askorozlu because he said, "Keep Memo alive.". But all the letters that he wrote never reached his daughter. 

Ova on the other hand was waiting for the soldier to come and testify for her father. But Memo was sentenced for execution . So , Ova's teacher and grandmother took her to meet her father .But their request was denied . So Ova started walking around the high walls of prison calling for her father. Memo heard his daughter and came out to answer his daughter. They started communicating through the wall. But the guards separated them. Memo did not cry when he was beaten but this time he was heartbroken. The other cellmates felt pity for him. So they threw a feast for Memo . Memo who never experienced this kind of thing because of his disability felt very happy . He told them about his wife and his daughter. He  also told them that he wanted to meet his daughter again.

One night, Askorozlu who was the ward representative, was attacked and Memo saved him. He was stabbed with a knife. Askorozlu felt that he owned Memo a debt. So he arranged a secret way for him to meet his daughter . He told his sons to bring the girl with them .But his wife thought he cheated on her .So  she started crying .Ova consoled her. When they meet with Askorozlu , his wife asked for divorce for cheating on her . Both Ova and Askorozlu was surprised. They cleared the misunderstanding . Ova then hid under a portable table and the other cellmates smuggled her inside the cell. Inside the cell Ova started to call for her father. Memo heard her voice and ran towards her. They cried and started talking to each other . Her father introduced her to everyone.

Ova's grandmother did not know that she went to meet her father. She was afraid and started looking for her . But suddenly she felt a pain in her heart and fell into the ground.

Inside the cell, Ova told everyone about the soldier and how he disappeared . She told them she wanted to live with them. But the warden found out that Ova was inside the prison. He found her in the cell . Askorozlu told the warden that the whole cell believed that Memo was innocent  and to listen to the girl about the witness to prove his innocence. 

The warden listened to the whole story. He was confused .He started investigating the case again. He went to the cave the soldier was hiding. He started looking for the soldier. But after a few days, they found him dead . All of them lost hope. The execution was coming near. They wanted to save Memo.

There was another prisoner named Yusuf Aga who blamed himself for his daughter's death. When he met Ova, he was reminded of her. He wanted to reunite the father and the daughter because he also wanted to be reunited with his daughter. He told the warden that he wants to be executed instead of Memo . The warden  refused him at first . But after watching Memo and Ova together , he started to feel bad and agreed to Yusuf Aga's plan.

On the day of the execution, Yusuf was taken . But before he left, he gave the warden a box to pass onto Ova as he did not have anything else of value. The next day Memo was released from prison . The warden said to Ova ,"The man who sent you this also sent you your father." After the night fall, the warden helped them to get on a boat to leave the country.

Now years later, she opened the box on her wedding day just to remember the sacrifice of the the man who helped a father and a daughter who did not have anyone else in the world.
